Where Can I Buy Tattoo Designs? – Should be a simple question to answer. And it can be. But if you ask the real question, “Where Can I Buy Quality Tattoo Designs, For A Fair Price?” – you might be in for some trouble, or atleast a frustrating search.

“Where Can I Buy Tattoo Designs?”

Sometimes its a tough question.

But it doesnt have to be. Finding real quality, if not totally fantastic, Tattoo designs and artwork is easy if you know where to look. Although we have to be careful when searching online, when we can see what a site has to offer, that can take alot of the guess work out of the equation. Another thing that can make buying tattoo design’s online easy , is a site that actually has top notch Tattoo Artist’s as Members.

What I mean by this is, there are tattoo design and info sites on the internet. Many of the sites, only offer tattoo designs, and worse yet, they offer designs from either books, or inexperienced tattoo artist wannabes. If a Tat artist is new and has unquestionable skills, thats awesome. But when a site offers the same old stuff , and expects us to pay for something that is totally un-original, thats where the problem happens.

And it happens alot.

But thats only because , until now, there hasnt been a great demand for artwork online. And a big reason there has been a lack of interest in buying tattoo designs online is the fact that all those tattoo design sites offer very lackluster designs.

Basically the online Tatto Design industry needed a boost. And they finally have it.

When people want quality tattoo design’s, either for themselves or for selling purposes, they finally have a place to look. And by the numbers its obvious that people are looking. The new Tattoo design website I am talking about can be found by following this link right here:

Not to mention, Tattoo Me list’s every new Tattoo Convention and event happening long before they happen, giving you plenty of time to make plans for tattoo events that only happen once a year in certain areas.

The question has been posed time and time again, and I never seem to read a satisfying answer – How much does getting a tattoo hurt? Professional tattooists and long-time collectors sometimes tend to forget what it was like to be on the other side of the chair for the first time. Although there is no way for me to tell each individual what it will feel like for them, I will do my best to offer some encouragement.

Comparisons
It’s true that everyone has a different threshold of pain. What one person considers not painful at all could be devastating to another. Some people describe the feeling as a "hot scratch". Some have said it was "annoying". Most say it was not nearly as bad as they feared. But there is a little more than pain alone to consider when getting a tattoo.

Fainting and Tears
You may have heard horror stories about people passing out or crying from the intense pain. First of all, people pass out because their blood sugar drops from not eating or they just allow themselves to get too worked up and their own fear knocks them out. Pain is usually not the culprit when someone faints during a tattoo. As far as crying goes, there are some that find the pain too much to bear. These people are few and far between – don’t assume you’re going to be one of them. I shed a couple tears myself once – after an eight-hour session that was pure torture during the last two from all the stress on my body. More than likely, you are not going to be sitting down to an 8 hour tattooing session! So don’t give in to the horror stories – we moms love to share labor and birth horror stories, but that doesn’t stop girls from having babies!

Fear of Needles or Blood
If you have a fear of needles or blood, getting a tattoo isn’t going to be easy. However, I would like to point out that tattoo needles do not enter the skin very far as many fear – actually, it only goes in about 1/16 of an inch. Take a look at a ruler and you’ll see just how insignificant that is. Another thing you can do is get your tattoo somewhere on your body where you will not be able to watch the work going on. This helps some to overcome the apprehension, by not actually seeing the needle.

The needles move in an up-and-down motion, carefully pushing the ink just below the surface of the skin. The damage to your skin is so minimal that many people don’t bleed at all – or very little. The tattoo artist will also be constantly wiping up your skin to clean off any traces of blood, so it’s done in a very clean and professional manner. Excessive bleeding usually only results when the patron has been drinking alcohol or taking some kind of blood thinner (like aspirin).

I do not consider myself real tolerant of pain. But certain things hurt more than others. I can endure childbirth much better than I can deal with a toothache. I think the end result and the reason you are experiencing the pain can affect how much it hurts. Getting a tattoo is one that I consider worth the discomfort because of the outcome. I know that I’m going to have this beautiful piece of artwork on me that I can be proud of when it’s all said and done.

You are Not Alone
Another thing to consider is the fact that nearly everyone is nervous when they go to get a tattoo. I don’t care how many you already have, there is always a feeling of apprehension when you sit in the chair. This is your body’s natural defense – endorphins. Your own endorphins will kick in and help to ease any pain or discomfort you are about to deal with. The first 60 seconds is usually the worst, and then when you realize it’s just not that bad, you calm down and the rest is smooth sailing.

Learn As Much As You Can
And the number one thing that I find helps me to deal with any situation of feeling anxious is being 100% educated and informed about what I’m getting into. When I wanted to get my first tattoo, I did so much research about the whole process and exactly what to expect that I fell in love with the art. When I finally made the decision to get my first tattoo, I knew exactly what to expect and was not nearly as nervous as I thought I would be.

If you truly want a tattoo, and you take the time to be educated about the process and how to choose the right artist that you can have complete confidence in, I promise you that you will not run out the door screaming due to the pain. You will walk out of that studio with a smile on your face, and your permanent "rite of passage" that is well deserved for overcoming your obstacle of fear.

The Beginner’s Guide to Tattoos is dedicated to those taking the first step into getting a tattoo. I invite you to read this and educate yourself on procedure, safety, and aftercare. This will give you the confidence that it gave me to sit in the chair and get inked for the first time.

How To Select A Tattoo Artist

The only question as important, or more important than choosing the perfect Tattoo , is How To Select A Tattoo Artist. It doesnt matter if you find the perfect Tattoo , the one that will alway’s be the best representation of you and the story of your life, if the Tattoo artist is less than sufficient to create the Tat itself. Artist selection is definitely just as important as choosing the Tattoo itself, but how can we know which one to trust?

Well, unfortunately , tattoo’s arent like paintings or other artwork done on a physical canvas. Even though skin is definitely a physical canvas of sort’s, it cant be hung on a wall somewhere, whether it be the Tattoo artist’s office or a gallery somewhere. It if was, we could simply browse through past work and get a real idea of the Tattoo Artists ability.

What about picture’s of past work?

That is the number 1 question I am asked when discussing how to select a tattoo artist. And yes, pictures do help. They will let you know the drawing skills of the that artist. But pictures are usually taken immediatley after the Tattoo is finished, or soon there-after. But that isnt always a true measure of the Artist’s talent. There is a reason for this…

Tattoo’s and skin change.

How many time’s have we seen a great looking tattoo on one of our friends or acquaintance’s, and later on down the road, not too far down the road, they are back at the Tattoo Studio getting the Tattoo reworked. We all know that Tattoo reworks over time arent neccessarily a sign of an inept Tattoo artist, but sometimes the reason’s for the rework are definitely a sign, a bad sign.

When asked “How to select a Tattoo Artist”, the number 1 answer is a common answer to many of the talent inqueries we face. And the answer it’s pretty simple.

Ask past customers.

Asking someone about the Artist a few years down the road could be the very best way to find out an artist’s ability. You can ask the important questions like,

Is the shop clean and sterile? – (Its just a good sign of a professional)

Did you feel comfortable?

How long did the Tattoo Take to finish?

Were there any problems during the Tattoo work?

Was the Tattoo Artist limited in the style of work he/she could perform?

Did the color of the Tat stay?

Did it keep its original look?

Have you had reworks done out of necessity?

Biggest Question – Are you satisfied with the overall look of the Tattoo and its appearance?

Get Real Customers Reviews On Tattoo Artist from Around The World!

Now there are obviously many more question’s you will want to ask once you are narrowing your search. But being able to get answer’s like these to the “How to select a tattoo artist?” question will be a huge help. Finding out what previous customer’s think about the work done can be critical.

But what if you cant find any customers? What if you just dont know who to ask?

Thats O.K. there are cool tattoo community’s online that can answer questions about Tattoo studios and Tattoo Artist’s from coast to coast, or even from other countries.(Not just Canada and Mexico either)

But you gotta know where to look. Finding that kind of information isnt always easy. I mean, not everyine has the ability to gather that type of information on 1 site. But I know of 1 Tattoo Site that can provide information on all the major Tattoo Studio’s and Tattoo Artist’s from all over the globe. Dont worry, its not gonna cost you all kind’s of money.

And better yet, it also comes with plenty of the best artwork from real customers and Tatoo Artist’s. Yep, thats right, some of the best Tattoo artist from all over post there Art so others can see what they can do. It just might be the most valued asset on the internet.

Think about it, The Top Tattoo Artists posting FREE Tattoo Art for you to see and use as well. When you sign up for this site you will have instant access to other customers from the state of your choice. Telling you all the answers to those important questions that will decide whether or not you end up with a premium tattoo , or an embarrasing ink spot on your precious skin.

Tattoos are very common these days, with nearly 1 in 4 people having at least one. Tattoos represent an art form, and allow people to broadcast who they are. Even though they are popular, most people will end up regretting them. In most cases, those who regret tattoos didn’t think about their design or take the time to choose the best tattoo for them. Even though it is possible to get a tattoo removed, the process is expensive and quite painful. To prevent this from happening, you should always take some time and find the perfect tattoo – your dream design.

Instead of trying to save some money, you should never choose a studio or artist based on how cheap they are. Cheaper artists and studios normally lack in work quality, which is why they are able to charge cheaper prices. Instead, you should look for the best studio and artist that you can find close to your area. Even though it may be expensive – the quality and design will be well worth it.

For some, their dream design is a person. This can be a loved one or someone who has passed on. You can always use a design or symbol that means something to you and reminds you of them or you can always use their face. Good tattoo artists can make magical tattoos with meaning, whether it is someone’s face or a symbol that brings out meaning.

Sometimes, it can be hard picking out your dream design. If you have an idea in mind but are still not sure what you want, you can always research. You can get tattoo books, theme books, magazines, or just research online. By looking at designs you may find something similar to what you are interested in. Once you have found it, all you need to do is sit down with your tattoo artists and come up with your dream tattoo design.

If you have a basic idea for something small in mind, you can always have it tattooed then come back later and have more added on. The best thing about tattoos is the fact that they can always be added to later. This can be a great thing if you want to try a smaller tattoo first, and then decide whether or not you want to get it bigger. If you start with a fraction of your dream design, you can always finish it up later on.

Whenever you get your dream tattoo you should always take time selecting the design. Tattoos will stay with you forever, which is why you should pick them carefully. If you put the necessary time and thought into it now, you won’t regret it later. Your dream design should be very important, and hold meaning. This way, every time you look at it – you’ll be reminded of that special moment in time and you’ll never forget about it.

The beauty of the Internet is that there is a wealth of information available to anyone who wants it. This is no different when it comes to online tattoo designs. Before the explosion of the Internet you had to rely on the tattoo designs of your nearest tattooist. Unless, your tattooist only tattoos original designs and changes each one slightly, you could end up with the same tattoo as many other people in your town.

Now, you can take the design of your tattoo into your own hands and it has never been easier. You no longer have to go to your tattoo parlour to look at the designs, you can do it from the comfort of your own home. Secondly, the choice is much larger on the Internet. As the popularity of tattoos has increased in recent times so has the number of tattoo websites.

Having a tattoo is something to seriously consider. Excuse me for stating the obvious but it is permanent and you will want to make sure the design is something that will stand the test of time. Avoid getting tattoos on a whim as this is a sure-fire way to expensive tattoo removal. Tattoos are also pretty expensive. If you don’t have money to waste then I would recommend you do lots of research online before you commit to anything.

Browse through a tattoo designs gallery, there are thousands and thousands of designs to have a look at. Choosing a quality website will enable you to browse through categories and look at high quality pictures of different tattoo designs. Broadly speaking, there are two types of tattoo website to choose from and they are either free or fee-paying.

You get what you pay for and that is nothing new. By subscribing to a website you can gain access to tattoo designs that are not as common. One thing you have to bear in mind with the free websites is that literally everyone can access the tattoos. If the uniqueness of your tattoo is important to you then it is important to remember that these tattoos are not likely to be unique.

Of course it all depends what you are looking for in a tattoo. Many free websites only feature tattoos which are generic. By paying for membership you can gain access to original pieces which are works of art in their own right. There are many incredibly talented tattoo artists you could find which could design your tattoo for you if you look in the right places.

The other great thing about tattoo art websites is that you can talk with other people and share ideas and inspiration. You could network with body art enthusiasts in your area who may be able to recommend a good tattoo website or studio.

When you think of charities you probably don’t even think about tattoos in the same sentence. Well I was pleasantly surprised yesterday to find out that this one tattoo parlor in Phoenix was holding a A 15-hour long fundraiser for Phoenix Children’s Hospital. A 30 minute session with one of the tattoo artists from Living Canvas Tattoos cost only $15! You honesty can not beat that price when an average 30 minute session would probably start at around $60 and up depending on the tattoo artist.

This charity event was a birthday celebration for the tattoo studio. They were celebrating 15 years of services so they thought 15 years with $15 tattoos for 15 hours would be a great event. The owner of the tattoo studio said, “There are so many charities, how do you go wrong with kids?”. Which I think is fantastic. It just goes to show that even tough man covered in tattoos that probably lead not so normal life style still have a huge heart for children and charities. The Owner Mark Walters, knew this event would more than likely be a huge hit and expected the rough bikers dudes to show as well as the average soccer mom because the money was going to such a good cause. However, Mark did state that any tattoo design will be accepted as long as it fell into the 30 minute session if not the $15 would not apply.

I truly think this whole concept is wonderful. I wish more tattoo studios would do things like this. It benefits not only tattoo enthusiasts but it also goes to a great cause! So listen up tattoo studio owners think real hard about following in Living Canvas Tattoos footsteps. The satisfaction of doing something great for someone else far out ways any dollar amount you could earn from given a tattoo.

Q: Will it hurt when I get a tattoo?
A: Simply put, yes. There is some degree of pain involved and the amount really depends on your level of tolerance. If you are scared or have a fear of needles, it’s fair to say that some of the pain will come from your fear of the process.

Q: Can the tattoo artist use any type of cream that will numb my skin?
A: Generally speaking, these products are not recommended. You can ask your tattoo artist for specific reasons.

Q: Are tattoos expensive?
A: If it is quality work, yes. Anyone can offer you a deal on a cheap tattoo, but this is going to be a permanent part of your body and you want the work to be something that you are proud of. In a nutshell, you will get what you pay for. When it comes to tattoos, don’t cut any corners when it comes to cost and never ask the artist to lower his/her price.

Q: When should I get a tattoo?
A: Many do not realize this, but the sunny months of summer can reek havoc on a tattoo. Therefore, it is often recommended that individuals get tattooed during the winter months when the sun’s rays are not as powerful and, therefore, not as damaging to the work itself.

Q: If I am sick, is it still OK for me to get a tattoo?
A: If your immune system is not 100%, getting a tattoo is probably not a good idea. You will need the full strength of your immune system to help with the healing process of your skin, so avoid the process if you are under the weather. Instead, call to reschedule your appointment for a later date when you will be feeling better.

Q: If I have tattoos, is it still OK to get a natural suntan or visit the tanning bed?
A: Even though everyone desires the perfect sunkissed tan, especially in the summer, exposing your tattoo to UV rays/light is not a good idea. This can cause the color in your tattoo, or the artwork itself, to fade. When you are outside in the sun, you can wear sunblock to help protect your tattoo from the sun’s damaging rays.

Q: If I have recently gotten a tattoo on my leg, when can I shave again?
A: Because each individual’s healing process is unique, there is no universal answer to this question. Your tattoo is a wound and, like all wounds, it needs to heal before you can safely resume shaving. Otherwise, you will continually aggravate the scab or any raised areas that are present on almost every tattoo. Some can resume shaving within 5-10 days, which is often when the new protective layer of skin has surfaced after the final peeling stage. It is best to ask the tattoo artist about the exact stages of the healing process and what to watch for as an indicator of when you can begin shaving again.

Q: I have a friend who recently purchased a tattoo kit and they promised me a really good deal. Is this safe?
A: Absolutely not. Your friend could very well be endangering your health by ‘practicing’ their skill on you. In order to become a professional tattoo artist, an individual needs to get the proper apprenticeship through a tattoo studio, observe the process and begin practicing on material objects before tattooing people. The apprenticeship usually takes 3-5 years, so there is no way that this type of knowledge can be learned in a kit.

Q: Can I remove the bandage after I get a tattoo so that I can show my friends?
A: This is not a good idea. The bandage is there because the tattoo artist realized the potential for infection if the wound were to be exposed to open air. Leave the bandage on according to the instructions from the tattoo artist.

Japanese tattoos are a very popular request in the tattoo studios, as they are a style of body art that’s rich with symbolism and has links to ancient traditions. The majority of Japanese tattoos consist heavily of written symbols which can be divided into three main categories.

1) Kanji

Of the three types of Japanese tattoo symbols; Kanji is the most popular because it is so expressive and artistic. Each different Kanji symbol (of which there are reported to be more than 40,000) represents a specific idea or meaning. So by combining a number of different Kanji symbols in your tattoo design it’s possible to create a stylish and unique tattoo that expresses an unlimited number of ideas and messages.

2) Hiragana

Unlike Kanji, Hiragana is a style of writing that’s used in everyday Japanese life. You’ll find it used in media such as newspapers and magazines, so it’s much more amenable to literal translation than Kanji.

In terms of design, the hiragana characters are more rounded than Kanji symbols, which is worth bearing in mind depending upon your artistic tastes. Hiragana writing is also known as cursive, so don’t get confused if you hear someone speaking about a cursive tattoo.

3) Katakana

The system of Katakana is similar to Hiragana. Together they’re known as Kana and were originally based on the Kanji symbols which existed more than one thousand years ago. Since than they’ve developed into their present form and both Hiragana and Katakana each have their own set of 46 symbols with which to form their words.

The system of Katakana symbols is used almost exclusively to represent words that are non Japanese in origin. These symbols are similar to the system of hiragana with the main difference being that words in Katakana have sharper edges and are much more angular in appearance.

And that concludes the three types of Japanese tattoo symbols that are available. However, there’s no rule that says you have to choose one style and stick to it. You could have your tattoo designed so that it includes more than one of these styles. For example, you could have a sentence written using Hiragana that includes various Kanji symbols to enrich it with greater meaning.

But whatever option you select, it’s important to take one additional safety precaution before you go anywhere near a tattoo studio with your design. As you can see from this brief explanation of different character types, the system of Japanese writing is extremely complicated and subtle.

If you don’t speak Japanese fluently, it’s vital to get an accurate translation of your design from a Japanese language expert.

It’s also a good idea to make sure that you find a tattoo artist who has experience forming the various Japanese characters and symbols.

Ultimately, the tattoos that people are most pleased with are those that have deep personal meaning or significance.
